About
My name is Bob. My wood working journey began as a teenager in Bellingham, WA. I still use a wooden mallet turned in the Shuksan Middle School woodshop. Over the years I’ve built cabinets, furniture, picture frames and completed numerous modification and repairs involving wood.
In the summer of 2020, I started turning again. I acquired a 1955 Delta Rockwell Model 1460 lathe. It was disassembled and I quickly learned that some of the loose parts were not compatible. With help from Delta, eBay and VintageMachinery.org, this lathe started operations in 2021.
As I learned to “play” this lathe, I gifted pieces to family and friends. First right of refusal starts with my wife, Marcie, and continues with my daughters, Carrie and Ellen. I’m now ready to share with more people who will pay a reasonable price. And, I’m still learning…
If you are interested in acquiring more nature in the form of a lasting expression, I hope one of my creations will fulfill that desire.
